How to prepare
Follow the bowel preparation instructions provided with your appointment letter — essential for a successful colonoscopy
Fast for a minimum of 6 hours before your procedure (no food or coloured liquids)
Arrange a driver — you cannot drive home after sedation. This is mandatory for safety
Bring your health card, appointment letter, and current medication list
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and leave valuables at home
Plan to be at the centre for 2–4 hours from arrival to discharge
